DK Yarn: Boucle

Our introduction to novelty yarn is a classically styled boucle with large open loops. Made from 75% homegrown mohair and 25% wool, this yarn is a mix of texture and delicate sheen that knits up soft and stretchy. This is no ordinary boucle.

Great for those special touches of added texture in knitted or crocheted cuffs, collars, hat brims, in tapestries, weaving, and more! Gauge below is for standard smooth yarn DK. We suggest going up two or more needles sizes to get the full textured effect in your project. Swatch sample knit up in needle size 6mm // 10 US.

Worsted spun, 3 ply, natural colour

Each hank is approximately 50g/1.75oz and 66m/72yds

Gauge:  21 – 24 stitches over 10 cm (4”)

Needles:  3.75 – 4.5 mm // 5 – 7 US
